A gutter that leaks or overflows sends water down the wall, and that is where damp starts. We repair gutters and downpipes, and replace them in uPVC when they are past it.

One bad joint or a couple of brackets is a repair. If the gutter is brittle, warped or leaking along its length, replacing the run is the better job. If the fascia board behind it is rotten, the brackets have nothing to hold on to, so the fascia needs doing as well.
